Lady Gaga’s Pivotal Career Moment On Howard Stern
August 10, 2011 by Gagaism.org
When Lady Gaga stopped by Howard Stern for an interview and performance, I think it’s safe to say we all expected it to make for great radio. However, I don’t think anyone anticipated just how spectacularly well Gaga and Howard would get along. Even more unexpected was the massive impact Gaga’s performance of ‘Edge of Glory’ would have.

Howard enjoyed Gaga’s performance of ‘Edge of Glory’ so much that he proposed to her on the spot! (His proposal wasn’t entirely serious, given the fact that he’s happily married to the beautiful Beth Stern. The sentiment seemed entirely sincere though.) It turns out Howard’s fans were just as moved as he was. According to MTV.com, Gaga’s performance of ‘Edge’ on Howard Stern has proven to be a major unexpected pop moment for her. Countless Stern listeners were instantly converted into Gaga fans upon hearing her sing and they have been spreading the word ever since.
Gaga’s visit to the Howard Stern Show is quickly proving itself to be a pivotal career move for her, one that is gaining her countless fans outside of her usual demographic. Check out her performance below and click the link for the full MTV article:
Lady Gaga’s Naked ‘Edge of Glory’ May Be Her Most Triumphant Moment

I am one of those Stern fans you speak of. I was blown away, I can’t stop listening to it, and I’ve been spreading the word!!!
Thanks for commenting. I am so glad that Gaga appeared on Howard and performed so that a wider range of people could see Gaga’s talent. She really is an amazing singer, songwriter, and performer. I was also really happy with the way Howard and Gaga got along. I hope she’ll be back on the show soon.
I’m also so happy that Gaga did the Howard Stern show which helped her to appeal to a wider audience. It’s strange, even though she’s technically very mainstream (i.e. the most popular and successful pop star), Gaga always seemed to me the underdog and only loved by “weird” and “different” people like me, not the “typical” Caucasian middle-aged straight males from the suburbs, which is the “targeted” mainstream audience. So it seems to me that she’s finally hitting the mainstream, even though she was already the mainstream, if that makes sense? I still always see her and the little monsters as underdogs, though, since I always see so many more haters out there, so your article and the MTV helped to challenge my pessimistic thoughts! Thank you!
