The first several categories for the 2012 Gagaism Awards have been revealed and nominations in these categories are set to begin shortly!  Follow after the jump to see the categories and for information on the nomination process.

Falling under the broader category of Official Recorded Works of Lady Gaga, these categories recognize Gaga’s standout work in the form of studio-recorded music and official music videos.

• Best Born This Way Single (official or promotional)
• Best Born This Way Track (non-single)
• Best Born This Way-era Music Video
• Best ‘A Very Gaga Thanksgiving’ Recording

The nomination process will begin soon and will be controlled entirely by little monsters. The most-nominated works in every category will become the official nominees, set to be unveiled in August. A link to submit nominations will be provided soon.
