It’s been a long time (a whole year), but Gaga has finally released the fifth fashion film in the Haus of Ü series based on her music video for Yoü and I. Entitled ‘HAUS OF Ü feat. BARN HOOKER AND MOTHER,’ the final fashion film portrays Gaga as two different characters and even features her boyfriend Taylor Kinney, who she met on the set of the video.
To be honest, we never expected to get the final fashion film after all this time, but Mother Monster was saving it for the video’s one-year anniversary. She’s always full of surprises! Take a look at the video below:
Last night, Mother Monster treated some of her most dedicated fans to a snippet of a brand new song, presumably from her upcoming new album. Fans were naturally overwhelmed with excitement and had a hard time keeping quiet enough to actually hear the song (can you blame them?), but they did the best they could to record some of the song nonetheless, and we have a brief clip to share with you below. Gaga unveils brand new material at Melbourne Born This Way Ball.

Lady Gaga decided to play a brand new song entitled ‘Princess Die’ at the first Melbourne Born This Way Ball last night, to the shock and delight of everyone in attendance. Inspired by the late Princess Diana, Gaga’s latest is somber and haunting, standing in stark contrast to the feel-good vibe that dominates Born This Way.
Gaga made a point of mentioning that song “may or may not be” on the upcoming album. We strongly feel it should make the cut, but don’t take our word for it. Take a listen below and let us know if you agree.
Lady Gaga and Nicola Formichetti have created a masterpiece. Are you ready to see it?
Earlier this week, Mac Cosmetics unveiled the long-awaited Gaga and Formichetti fashion masterpiece as modeled by Gaga in a magical and whimsical short fashion film. “TheMasterpiece” was a months-long fashion project in which Gaga and Formichetti worked to incorporate countless little monsters into a single, cohesive fashion design. The result was a gorgeous flowing dress and sky-high platform heels, all adorned with the beautiful faces of Gaga fans from around the world.
Never one to do anything half-assed, Gaga chose to unveil The Masterpiece within a stunning short fashion film. In the film, Gaga is portrayed as a sort of hybrid feral beast and demi-goddess, striking a stoic and regal pose one moment, and running swiftly and gracefully through empty space another. The piece as a whole feels like a natural extension and evolution of the surrealism Gaga began exploring with Born This Way.
Before you take a look at the video below, please take a moment to read about the life-saving purpose behind Gaga’s work with Mac Viva Glam. The Mac Viva Glam Masterpiece was created as part of a promotional campaign for Mac Viva Glam, which operates on behalf of the Mac AIDS Fund, a charity organization which provides support to people living with HIV/AIDS around the world and funds programs to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS through education and other services.
This year, Mac Viva Glam is selling a special line of Lady Gaga-inspired lipstick. Every cent of the selling price of the lipstick goes directly to the Mac Aids fund. You would be a amazed at how much good YOU can do by purchasing just one $14.50 lipstick or lipglass. After watching Gaga’s video, please head over to VivaGlam.com to purchase a lipstick and save a life. You can learn more about the Mac AIDS Fund and how it works by clicking here.
Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett star in charming ‘The Lady is a Tramp’ music video.
Tony Bennett has revealed the music video to his fantastic duet with Lady Gaga. It’s a straightforward, but captivating video that shows Gaga and Tony Bennett recording their duet. Despite its simplistic nature, ‘The Lady is a Tramp’ music video adds a lot to the song. In fact, some of Gaga’s curious improvisational lyrics will make perfect sense when you see her interacting with Tony Bennett in the video.
Check out the video and share your thoughts about it in the comments section below! Click here for hi-res stills from the video.
You can find ‘The Lady is a Tramp’ on Tony Bennett’s brand new Duets II album, which currently sits at #1 on the Billboard 200. With Duets II, Tony Bennett has earned his first #1 album, and has become the oldest person to ever have a #1 album on Billboard! You can purchase the album here.
Lady Gaga’s latest ‘Yoü and I’ fashion film shines a spotlight on the enigmatic Yüyi the Mermaid.
Did Yüyi direct the music video?
Lady Gaga has done it again! The third fashion film in the series, ‘HAUS OF Ü ft. Yüyi’ stars none other than the magical being that is Yüyi the Mermaid. In an interesting twist, this clip takes a behind-the-scenes approach and shows Yüyi being carried from her trailer to the set of the music video. She is also seen sitting in what appears to be a director’s chair.
What does it all mean? Perhaps we’ll find out when the next two films are released. We can’t wait!
Lady Gaga’s latest single ‘Yoü and I’ has been given the remix treatment by talented artists and groups such as Metronomy, Mark Taylor, Wild Beasts, and ATB. The seven-track ‘Yoü and I’ remix album has just been released on iTunes and Amazon for only $5.99.
This is an eclectic set of remixes. The Metronomy remix has a very modern, minimalist vibe to it. The lyrics are mostly intact but the song is otherwise quite different. The Wild Beasts remix is a hypnotic electro-piano hybrid that rearranges Gaga’s lyrics into entirely new phrases.
Our favorite remix comes from Grammy Award-winning record producer Mark Taylor. He changes ‘Yoü and I’ just enough to make the remix feel distinct from the original, while retaining most of its structure and tone. If you’ve been itching for a more electronic, Edge of Glory-esque version of ‘Yoü and I,’ this is the remix for you.
Purchase your digital copy of the ‘Yoü and I’ remix today and keep your eyes peeled for the remix cd coming to stores soon!
Lady Gaga is a tramp in her new duet with Tony Bennett.
‘The Lady is a Tramp,’ the opening track on Bennett’s upcoming Duets II album, was released on YouTube today, and early reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Here’s a small sampling of the praise Gaga and Bennett are receiving.
Idolator’s Becky Bain gave Gaga great praise, writing, “We all know Gaga has no problem belting out a show-stopping number, but damn if we aren’t surprised just how effortless the pop star sounds crooning this classic showtune.”
Amanda Dobbins, writing for New York Magazine’s Vulture, was also pleasantly surprised. “[The] Lady has the sassy, slightly show-tune-y voice down cold. It works! Unless Gaga decides to pay tribute to Disney’s Lady and the Tramp with the costuming (we fear dog suits), this collaboration can go in the “success” column.”
Even Gawker’s Brian Moylan, who has had a long history of being not-so-kind to Gaga had to admit, “It’s really good!”
‘The Lady is a Tramp’ will be available for purchase on Tuesday (along with Bennett’s full Duets II album), but in the meantime you can enjoy the song by listening to the stream below.
Lady Gaga released her second fashion film for ‘Yoü and I’ this afternoon entitled, ‘HAUS OF Ü ft. BRIDE.’
The video is shot in a similar style to the ‘Nymph’ video (which you can see here), but it’s has a fair bit more going on. Unlike the first video, this one features several people including Gaga, her love interest/captor from the video, the video’s ice cream truck owner, Nicola Formichetti (we think), and a handful of little monsters.
Gaga never forgets her little monsters!
Based on the title, you may be expecting to see more of Gaga in her white wedding dress from the video. However, Gaga never does the expected. Take a look at the video below and let us know what you think!
