February 12, 2012 at 10:00 pm #4668This is my first draft of this poem, I’m not completely happy with some of the verses yet…
THE LAY OF LADY GAGA
On the stage the Lady stands
On ever-changing shifting sands
To sing, to dance, to entertain
To perform for her fans againPoker Face and Bad Romance
Paparazzi and Just Dance
Her Telephone it rings so loud
Heard above the roaring crowdMoney Honey and The Fame
It’s the Monster Ball again
Teeth and Monsters here do dwell
She Dances in the Dark so wellI’m So Happy I Could Die
Her live singing is no lie
Piano goddess, keytar queen
The best that there has ever beenQuirky fashion and high art
She aims well with her dark art
To Marry the Night and not the day
Gaga will never fade awayShe loves her fans the most you see
She bleeds for us regularly
And so we love her in return
She will never crash and burnMusic is the Lady’s life
No ignorance, no fear, no strife
She preaches love, acceptance too
Because her religion’s youAll of us should understand
The simple message close at hand
Be yourself and never stray
Because we were all born this wayCopyright Saetana February 2012

February 13, 2012 at 1:44 am #4670I’ve decided to rename the poem THIS MONSTER’S BALL as I wasn’t totally happy with The Lay of Lady Gaga ;o)
February 13, 2012 at 3:50 am #4671I love it! Thanks for posting! I do intend to create a fan art section sometime in the next month or so. As soon as you feel like your poem is finished, let me know and I’ll publish it in the articles section! <3
February 13, 2012 at 5:22 am #4672Saetana, that is fabulous!!! A terrific reminder of all the reasons we love Lady Gaga!!! Thanks for posting your art – looking forward to your next creation!
February 13, 2012 at 6:22 pm #4678Saetana, thank you so much for sharing, this is just a wonderful poem and really captures all that Gaga means to us, her performance style, her love of music, the LMS and social justice and equality. Please post more of your poems! That’s exciting Scott that you’ll publish Saetana’s finished poem in the articles, section, can’t wait.
February 13, 2012 at 10:31 pm #4692I moved this into the new section for fan art =)
February 15, 2012 at 2:18 am #4697Thanks everyone, I’ll tidy it up by the end of the week as I realised I’ve rhymed art with art, lol, and I’m not happy with the 6th verse yet ;o)
February 16, 2012 at 7:23 am #4698I can’t wait until the finished product!
February 20, 2012 at 12:48 am #4704Okay, here is the final(ish) version, I changed the name, rewrote the 6th verse and made a couple of minor alterations. I have to leave it alone now or I’ll end up constantly rewriting and spoiling the good bits, lol, I’m never completely satisfied. I put it in for the birthday project via Propagaga as well. Sorry for the lack of posting this week but I still have an infection in one eye – better than two at least, hopefully the other will clear up shortly.
