Discuss Lady Gaga’s upcoming new single here! What do you think it will sound like? What will it be about? Predictions on release date?
July 27, 2012 at 9:10 am #5064As with all things Gaga, I have no idea, but I can’t wait until her album comes out! Well, almost everything she does is unexpected (most recent example is the Fame perfume campaign!), so it’s hard to say about the new single and album. I don’t know if her next album will be an EP like the Fame Monster so that she will release toward the end of TBTWB so that she will feature her new songs in tour?
She also describes her new album as “irresponsible” so it might be lighter in sound than BTW, maybe more acoustic and rock-influenced since rock music is always considered “irresponsible” and rebellious? I think BTW wasn’t as commercial since it was very heavy and “busy” in production compared to the Fame and TFM which seemed cleaner and more tightly produced.
All I want is for her new album and singles to totally smash the charts and for Gaga to be unstoppable like in 2010, and she can definitely do this by being more commercial, but not compromising her art (i.e. like the Beatles).
July 28, 2012 at 4:09 am #5065Gaga has said on LittleMonsters.com that she will be releasing a new single very soon, but she also said it may not be from the album. Some people are speculating that it might be from the new Bond film, since no song has been announced yet. I’m guessing it’s either that, the Cher collaboration, or it really is the lead single off the album. If it is from the album though, I doubt she’ll release it before October or so, since she also recently said on LM that the album won’t be out until 2013. So exciting!
July 29, 2012 at 10:00 am #5073It’s very exciting! I liked how you said in one of your Technorati article about Little Monsters being thirsty after the MTN promo drought, it’s so true! I really can’t wait, and it does seem that the single will be at the end of this year.
What do you think about Vince Herbert’s statement about the album being ”insane” and “great”. On the other hand, I wonder if he’s saying that b/c obviously you’re not going to say that the album is mediocre at best, so I hope he’s not over hyping. On the other hand, Herbert doesn’t seem like the type of person who would lie. I just hope that Gaga doesn’t over hype her album. Well, regardless, I really can’t wait!
August 3, 2012 at 6:31 pm #5101He may just be hyping, but who knows? I mean, I always like hearing things like that, but of course the people working with her are going to say that, at least publicly. I just wish we knew more about this upcoming single by now! I know a lot of fans have been saying that the perfume ad will be to Sheisse, but I still don’t know where they got that info from. They say it like it’s 100% confirmed, and maybe it is and I just missed it, but I’m kind of wondering if perhaps she’ll released a standalone single for the perfume. (Then, if it does really well, she can decide to put the single on the album. It’s sneaky, but artists do that stuff all the time. *cough* Nicki Minaj *cough*)
August 5, 2012 at 7:52 am #5104I know, I was dying for Cher/Gaga single since 2010, but it was smart of the record label to wait until after MDNA and to release it when things are slower–though this summer is very slow, I don’t know why they don’t just release the Greatest thing now? Then in October, Gaga can release her single. It doesn’t make sense to release their duet in October and THEN Gaga’s new single. I guess what I’m saying is I want to hear Cher/Gaga now, LOL!
However, I think it’s better for Gaga to release the new single in 2013 not fall/winter 2012 as the public may think it’ s too much music too soon. I mean, the BTW tour is still going on. So, even though I’m dying for new music, I think it’s best for Gaga to wait until next year.
